I am trying to learn the Dvorak keyboard. I am 50 and type 75 wpm on QWERTY, but always wanted to switch. I find that most of my mistakes are strokes that would have been correct on QWERTY. I have tried to save my most common mistakes to try to repeat the new muscle patterns. My son is a concert pianist. When he practices, he goes slow enough that he never makes mistakes. When he was younger, he practiced very fast and did better than his peers. Now, in his twenties, he practices much slower, but he plays much faster and better. I want to apply that same principle to my typing--practice perfectly slow, and then type faster and perfectly. I started Dvorak 1/20/2017. 5 days later, I am consistently getting scores of 22-25 wpm.
